Cycling federation chief gets discharge not amounting to acquittal in graft case

MALAYSIAN National Cycling Federation (MNCF) president Abu Samah Abd Wahab has been given a discharge not amounting to acquittal by the Ayer Keroh Sessions Court for two counts of abusing his post to solicit bribes totalling RM48,811.85. 

Judge Elesabet Paya Wan made the ruling following representation submitted by the accused, which was accepted by the prosecution, led by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission deputy public prosecutor Mahadi Abdul Jumaat.
