PETALING JAYA: Malaysia reported two new deaths related to Covid-19 today, bringing the death total to 105.
A total of 122 new cases were also reported, pushing the total number so far to 6,298. Of the new cases, 52 are imported cases.
At a press conference here today, health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said 27 patients are currently being treated in the intensive care unit (ICU), with 13 needing respiratory assistance.
He said 87 patients have recovered, bringing the total number discharged so far to 4,413.
A total of 1,780 people are still being treated.
The latest deaths involve a 82-year-old man with a history of chronic illness, who was being treated at Hospital Sungai Buloh, and a 64-year-old man, who was being treated in Negeri Sembilan. He also had a history of chronic illness.
