Umno to ‘cleanse’ itself of saboteurs

UMNO will carry out a large-scale “cleansing” of the party, focusing on those who sabotaged the party and its candidates in the 15th general election, party president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said today. He said the matter will be discussed and decided during the Umno Supreme Council meeting tomorrow.

A TEACHER lost her late husband’s pension fund of RM233,480, after being cheated by a Macau scam syndicate two weeks ago. Pahang police chief Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf said the 55-year-old victim from Maran, said she was initially contacted on January 13, by a suspect who claimed to be an employee of a delivery service.
