NATO chief plans to leave office in October

LONG-serving Nato leader Jens Stoltenberg has no plans to extend his mandate for a fourth time and expects to be replaced in October, the military alliance said today. “The mandate of Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has been extended three times and he has served for a total of almost nine years,” spokeswoman Oana Lungescu said. 

BN backs Hajiji to remain as Sabah CM

BARISAN Nasional (BN) has made an about-turn and is now backing the Sabah unity government led by Chief Minister Hajiji Noor.  In a move that seemed to sideline Sabah Umno chief Bung Moktar Rasin, BN’s secretary-general Zambry Abdul Kadir said the decision was in line with that of the federal unity government.
