Muhyiddin vows to sue accusers

FORMER prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin today vowed to sue anyone accusing him of corruption. The Bersatu president and Perikatan Nasional chairman said he did not receive a single sen from the procurement of Covid-19 vaccines, adding he was at a loss as to why such accusations were being thrown at him.

Selangor to appease families affected by ECRL project

THE Selangor government will pursue negotiations with 89 families expected to be affected by the East Coast Rail Link Project (ECRL) project.  Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari said besides those families residing in Kampung Delek and Kampung Sungai Sireh in Port Klang, the state government has identified 86 burial plots along the same route.

Putrajaya engaged in finalising new Malaysia-Indonesia border crossing

THE Home Ministry is engaged in finalising the new border crossing between Malaysia and Indonesia following the development of Indonesia’s new capital city, Nusantara, in Kalimantan.  Its minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the new crossing is among matters discussed by both countries under the Cross-Border Agreement (CBA). 

Indian man arrested over cow vigilante double murder

INDIAN police said today they had arrested one man over the murder of two Muslim men whose charred bodies were found in a car after they were abducted for alleged cow smuggling. Cows are considered sacred by Hindus and their slaughter is illegal in many Indian states.

MMEA detain undocumented Myanmar fishing crew

GEORGE TOWN: Penang’s Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) detained a local fishing boat manned by a crew of five Myanmar nationals who did not have any valid travel documents nor work permit, 42.3 nautical miles northwest of Pulau Kendi near here on Friday (Feb 17). Read full story
