Unity prepaid internet plan launched today

THE Unity Package prepaid mobile Internet plan, priced at RM30, is on sale starting today, said Communications and Digital Minister Fahmi Fadzil.  He said through this package, youth, the disabled, the B40 income group, and senior citizens would have access to high-speed Internet of 30 gigabytes of data for six months, with a speed of 3Mbps at a lower price. 

Higher prices for herbicides boost Bayer profits in 2022

GERMAN chemicals giant Bayer said today it quadrupled its net profit in 2022, in part thanks to higher prices and strong demand for its glyphosate-based weedkillers.   Net profit climbed to €4.15 billion euros (RM19.67 billion), up from 1 billion a year earlier, the Leverkusen-based group said in a statement.  

GST may be brought back, says Rafizi

THE goods and services tax (GST) may be brought back sometime later, said Economy Minister Mohd Rafizi Ramli.   The Malaysian Reserve reported him as saying it was necessary to ensure good governance before implementation of the consumption tax.
