Mercy Malaysia aiding flood victims nationwide

MERCY Malaysia has dispatched its Rapid Assessment and Emergency Medical Teams to states hit by floods, including hardest-hit Johor. In a statement, president Dr Ahmad Faizal Mohd Perdaus said Mercy Malaysia has provided much needed emergency humanitarian relief and also activated its Malaysia Flood Response Command Centre.

Sabah cabinet to discuss anti-party hopping law

SABAH Chief Minister Hajiji Mohd Noor said today the state cabinet needs to study a proposed anti-party hopping enactment before tabling it in the assembly. He did not set a date for the discussion but said the cabinet will decide when to table the enactment in the assembly. 

Denmark’s Little Mermaid defaced with Russian flag

THE Little Mermaid statue in Copenhagen, one of Denmark’s most iconic landmarks, was vandalised overnight today with a Russian flag painted across the statue’s base. The colours of Russia’s flag had been painted on the stone where the statue rests of the heroine from Danish storyteller Hans Christian Andersen’s famous novel, an AFP journalist saw.
