PM says no need to declare flood emergency

THERE is no need for an emergency to be declared as the flood situation in the country is seeing signs of improvement, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said. He said floods have also begun to subside in several areas.

Flood mitigation projects to be expedited, says PM

PRIME Minister Anwar Ibrahim has given his assurance that flood mitigation projects, especially in Johor, will be expedited and needs to commence from June this year. He said the tendering process for the projects needs to be done as soon as possible, considering that the flood issue is a recurring problem.
