Guan Eng lodges report against Muhyiddin

DAP chairman Lim Guan Eng today lodged a police report against Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin over the latter’s remarks regarding Lim’s revocation of tax exemption for the Albukhary Foundation. “I have repeatedly stated that this (allegation) is untrue and I have never issued any letter to revoke the tax exemption given to the Albukhary Foundation.

Puteri Sarah files for full custody of children

ACTRESS Puteri Sarah Liyana Megat Kamaruddin today filed a full custody claim for her two children, aged six and four, at the Shariah High Court.  Her counsel, Puteri Ummi Kartini Abd Latiff, said her client filed the claim in accordance with Section 81 of the Islamic Family Law (Federal Territories) Act1984.

THE presidents of Argentina and Ecuador publicly criticised each other yesterday, in a growing diplomatic rift caused by the mysterious appearance in Venezuela of a convicted Ecuadorian ex-minister. Maria de los Angeles Duarte, fleeing an eight-year sentence in Ecuador over bribery charges, had been holed up in Argentina’s mission in Quito since August 2020.

Govt not funding KLIA rebranding, says Anthony Loke

THE cost of rebranding the terminals at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) does not involve any funding from the government, Transport Minister Anthony Loke told parliament today. He said the rebranding costs will be borne by Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB).
