Police to help MCMC regulate social media content

TWO Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officers will be stationed at the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC).  In a Facebook posting, MCMC said the move would strengthen knowledge and the capabilities of both enforcement agencies in terms of intelligence gathering, investigations, and prosecutions. 

Rheinmetall to open maintenance centre for Ukraine weapons

GERMAN arms firm Rheinmetall said today it would soon open a maintenance centre in Romania for military equipment used in Ukraine’s battle against Russian forces.   The company said the “service hub” near Satu Mare in northern Romania, close to the border with Ukraine and Hungary, was set to become operational before the end of April.  

Phase 2 Rahmah cash aid begins April 5

THE payment of the second phase of the Rahmah Cash Aid will be credited in stages into the accounts of registered recipients beginning April 5, the Finance Ministry (MOF) said. In a statement today, MOF said phase two of the aid amounts to RM1.26 billion which will be channelled to 8.7 million B40 recipients.
