A CONVOY of diplomats travelling in Myanmar came under fire from an unknown armed group, a military official and a diplomat said today. Myanmar has been in turmoil since a military coup deposed Aung San Suu Kyi’s administration in February 2021.

Prosecution studying legal issues raised by Wan Saiful, court hears

FORMER Bersatu information chief Wan Saiful Wan Jan has sent a letter to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission over legal issues on the two corruption charges made against him. His lawyer, Amer Hamzah Arshad, informed Sessions Court judge Rozina Ayob today that the letter was sent via email on May 2.

Hisyam Teh will lead Siti Bainun’s appeal against conviction

HISYAM Teh Poh Teik will be lead counsel for Rumah Bonda founder Siti Bainun Ahd Razali in her appeal against her conviction and sentence for neglecting and abusing Bella, a teenage girl with Down Syndrome.  This was mentioned by lawyer Nur’Aminahtul Mardiah Md Nor, who represented Siti Bainun during case management before High Court Judge Ahmad Bache today.
