Venice’s Grand Canal turns phosphorescent green

A STRETCH of Venice’s Grand Canal turned bright green today, prompting police to investigate amid speculation about a stunt by environmentalists.   Gondoliers could be seen punting through the phosphorescent waters, while tourists took photographs of the green area, from the Rialto Bridge up and along part of the Canal.

Mediation centre needed to settle disputes between Muslims and non-Muslims

A MEDIATION centre needs to be set up to resolve disputes between Muslims and non-Muslims, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Mohd Na’im Mokhtar said.
