‘No plastic bag’ every Saturday in Ipoh from June 1

THE Ipoh City Council (MBI) will implement the “No Plastic Bag” campaign, in which 20 sen will be charged for the use of a plastic bag on Saturdays. The campaign begins on June 1. Ipoh mayor Rumaizi Baharin said the campaign is aimed at reducing single-use plastics in the city to ensure environmental sustainability.

PM announces RM5 million allocation for Malaysian Youth Council

PRIME Minister Anwar Ibrahim today announced a RM5 million annual allocation for the Malaysian Youth Council (MBM) to empower young people. He said the move was in recognition of the hard work and seriousness of the MBM leadership led by its president Mohd Izzat Afifi Abdul Hamid, in supporting the Malaysia Madani concept.
