Australian PM condemns fear tactics in indigenous vote
AUSTRALIA’s prime minister took a swipe today at conservative “doomsayers” using fear tactics ahead of a referendum to give Indigenous people a voice on laws that affect them. Debate on the so-called Voice has turned increasingly acrimonious, with supporters decrying deliberate disinformation and opponents saying it risks opening a racial divide.
Kedah, Perlis sign land and maritime boundary deal
THE Perlis and Kedah governments today signed a land and maritime boundary agreement covering a land area of 44.3km and three nautical miles (5.6km) of maritime area. The agreement was signed by Kedah Menteri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor and Perlis Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli at Wisma Darul Aman in Alor Setar.

Menu Rahmah contributes to lower food cost inflation, says Salahuddin
MENU Rahmah has successfully contributed to a lower inflation rate of the food-outside-the-home prices for the first time since August 2021, said Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Salahuddin Ayub. UN issues hunger alert for Haiti, Sahel and Sudan
HAITI, the Sahel and Sudan now rank among the United Nations’ highest-alert areas for food insecurity, requiring “urgent” action from the international community, food agencies warned today.
