China’s Baidu search engine debuts in HK after US$3.1 billion IPO

CHINESE search engine Baidu debuted on Hong Kong’s stock exchange today after raising US$3.1 billion (RM12.7 billion) in its initial public offering, the latest mainland tech giant to flock to the financial hub.

Shares rose a modest 0.8% to HK$254 (RM134.50) from their listing price of HK$252 after the market opened.
