Credit Suisse to borrow US$53.7 billion from central bank

CREDIT Suisse announced today that it will borrow up to 50 billion francs (RM242 billion) from the Swiss central bank to reinforce the group after its shares plunged.

In a statement, the bank said it was also making buyback offers on about US$3 (RM13.6) billion worth of debt.
