THE government will refine its strategy and strengthen bilateral ties with neighbouring countries along with multilateral relations at the Asean region to tackle the southwest monsoon and the El Nino phenomenon.
For this purpose, Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change Minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad said he would lead the Malaysian delegation to the Asean Environment Ministers’ Meeting, the 24th Sub-Regional Ministerial Steering Committee (MSC) meeting and the Technical Working Group meeting on cross-border smog on June 7 and 9 in Singapore.
