A GROUP of Mexican police who killed eight people in a supposed shoot-out have been suspended over allegations they had, in fact, executed the victims and staged a cover-up, said authorities yesterday.
The officers said they were on patrol on Thursday last week in the northern city of Nuevo Laredo, on the US border, when a gang of suspected drug traffickers opened fire on them from a black pickup.
