KUCHING: Sarawak did not have a single new Covid-19 case today, the first time since March 13 when the state’s first three cases were reported.
Those three cases were reported in Kuching, believed to be linked to the tabligh gathering held at the Sri Petaling mosque in Kuala Lumpur in late February.
The state disaster management committee said the number of positive cases in Sarawak remains at 523.
In a statement, it said 19 people have been discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of those fully recovered to 301.
Two hundred and two patients are still being treated in hospitals with three in intensive care units (ICU) and one more requiring respiratory aid.
The death toll in the state from Covid-19 remains at 17.
Twenty-nine divisions are now classified as green zones, nine yellow zones and two red zones (Kuching and Samarahan).
Green zones are areas with no cases, yellow zones 1-20 cases, orange zones (21-40) and red zones (more than 40).
