Mixed Views On UMNO Going Alone
PETALING JAYA, 05 Jan 2021 – Speculation on whether the ruling Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition will be able to hold itself together has intensified after many UMNO divisions passed resolutions at their annual general meeting held last weekend, mooting for the party to leave the coalition. Anticipating such sentiment, the Merdeka Center carried out a survey among Malaysian voters aged 21 and above to ask, among other topics, whether voters agreed for UMNO to pull out from the PN coalition, and if UMNO should “go it alone” in the next general election.
