Djokovic to miss Miami Open over lack of Covid vaccination

NOVAK Djokovic will not play at the Miami Open after failing to receive a waiver to enter the United States despite not being vaccinated for Covid-19. Tournament director James Blake told The Tennis Channel yesterday that the world no. 1, a six-time Miami champion, was denied entry despite the best effort of tournament officials.

Britain defends Rwanda asylum plan as ‘compassionate’

BRITAIN’S Interior Minister Suella Braverman defended a controversial plan to deport asylum seekers arriving in the UK to Rwanda during a visit there yesterday, when she inspected the centres where they will be held. “Many countries around the world are grappling with unprecedented numbers of illegal migrants,” said Braverman.
