Ransomware attacks in Malaysia grew 37% in 2022, says report
RANSOMWARE and extortion cases in Malaysia increased by 37.5% in 2022 with 11 reported cases across key sectors, a US-based cyber security company said. Palo Alto Networks said threat actors were utilising more aggressive tactics to pressure organisations, using harassment 20 times more often last year than in 2021.
6 cosmetic products with poison banned from sale
THE Health Ministry’s National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency has revoked the notification of six cosmetic products found to contain scheduled poisons. Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said four of the products were Flashhskinzz Moist Sunscreen, Serene Treatment Cream, Tempias Hawa Master Recovery Skin Rskin and Karisma Preventing Day Cream, which were found to contain mercury.
