Siti Bainun sought best medicine to treat Bella’s injuries
RUMAH Bonda founder Siti Bainun Ahd Razali today testified at her defence trial that she sought the best medicine at a pharmacy to treat burns on the hand of the teenager with Down syndrome known as Bella.
Responding to a cross-examination by deputy public prosecutor Shakira Aliana Alias, Siti Bainun said she asked for medication and told a pharmacist through WhatsApp about Bella’s badly burned hand.
Abu Dhabi firms to pay US$1.8 billion to 1MDB, MOF Inc to settle dispute
ABU Dhabi’s state-owned International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC) and Aabar Investments PJS (Aabar) will pay US$1.8 billion (RM8.06 billion) to 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) and Ministry of Finance Inc to settle a legal dispute, the Finance Ministry announced today.
This is in pursuant to a settlement of a legal proceedings in the London Court of International Arbitration and the London High Court.

Kim Jong-un opens key meeting on agriculture
NORTH Korean leader Kim Jong-un has opened a key party meeting to discuss agricultural development, state media said today, following a report of “grave” food shortages in the isolated country.
Normally such meetings are convened only once or twice a year, but the plenary comes just two months after a previous one, which also focused on agricultural issues.

4 Port Dickson council workers charged with corruption
FOUR Port Dickson Municipal Council (MPPD) employees claimed trial in the Seremban Sessions Court to charges of soliciting and receiving bribes from traders between 2017 and 2020.
They are enforcement assistant Azman Halidan, 55, assistant environmental health officer Khairil Rizal Mahtar, 45, and two public health assistants, Arfizi Mustafa, 38 and Mohd Azmi Mohd Hashim, 41.
