THE National Professors’ Council (MPN) said today that it is an independent entity which is not subservient to any political party or entity, so it can express its critical views.
This came as a response to Penang Deputy Chief Minister II P. Ramasamy’s criticism recently that MPN might have changed its registration but it is still composed of key academics from the Barisan Nasional era, after the council had defended academic Zainal Kling over his speech at the Malay Dignity Congress recently.
